Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley Opens July 8

Harry Potter fans won’t have to wait much longer to explore the shops, restaurants and rides of Diagon Alley.

Universal Studios Florida has set an official opening date of July 8 for the long-awaited expansion to its Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The new park addition will include a “next generation thrill ride,” dubbed Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, according to a media release issued today, June 18.

Park visitors will also be able to check out the Knight Bus, visit Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and even dine in the Leaky Cauldron. The Hogwarts Express will visitors from “London” to Hogsmeade, connecting the original Potter addition at Universal to Diagon Alley.
