Health Advisory Issued For Cypress Point Park Beach
Residents are warned not to go swimming at the Cypress Point Park Beach due to high levels of enterococci bacteria.

TAMPA, FL – Residents are warned not to go swimming at the Cypress Point Park Beach, 5620 W. Cypress St., Tampa, due to high levels of enterococci bacteria in the water.
Samples taken Wednesday, Feb. 7, were above safety threshold for enterococci bacteria, which can cause urinary tract infections, bacterial endocarditis, diverticulitis and meningitis.
The beach will be re-sampled, Wednesday, Feb. 14, to see if the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County can safely lift the advisory.
