Heat, More Storms Return To Tampa Bay's Forecast
Find out what's in store for the region in the week ahead.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Bay area looks to be in for a rollercoaster ride in the weather department this week.
According to the National Weather Service, the week should start off with a relatively mild Monday with a high in the upper 70s and an overnight low in the lower 60s. Areas of fog are expected in the overnight hours and into the early morning hours Tuesday.
Those who have missed warmer temperatures should find Tuesday’s forecast of interest. The daytime high is expected to climb into the low 80s with an overnight low in the mid-60s in much of the region. Patchy fog is expected to make a return in the overnight hours, as well.

Wednesday should shape up to be a day of change with a high near 80 anticipated and an overnight low in the lower 60s. Rain is in the forecast with a 20 percent chance during the day and 30 percent chance in the overnight hours.
The weather service warns that Thursday could shape up to deliver rather stormy conditions. A 70 percent chance of showers is forecast in the day and evening hours. The daytime high should only reach the lower 70s with a low around 50. Some of those storms may have the potential to become strong, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds along with them.

Rain chances persist into the early morning hours Friday, but conditions are anticipated to dry up later in the day. The high on Friday is expected to only reach the low 60s. The overnight low should fall into the upper 40s.
Saturday is expected to bring more cool temperatures with a high in the mid-60s and a low around 52 degrees in much of the region. There’s a 20 percent chance of rain, as well, but forecasters anticipate a mostly sunny day.
