Heavy Rain, Brisk Weather Headed to Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay area residents might want to bundle up.

It’s time to dust off those jackets and get ready for a blast of cold air in the Tampa Bay area.
The National Weather Service in Ruskin says a strong cold front is moving into the area that will deliver heavy rain Monday followed by much cooler temperatures throughout the week. Monday’s chances for rain are set at roughly 60 percent during the daytime hours and about 80 percent in the evening. The high is anticipated to climb to 80, but it won’t last for long. Monday’s low should drop down to about 53.
The rest of the workweek doesn’t bring high chances for storms, but temperatures are expected to remain in the chilly range for the Bay area. Tuesday’s high is expected to only climb to about the mid- to upper 50s with a low around the mid-30s.

Conditions warm up a bit Wednesday when the high is expected to reach the low 60s with a low around 48. Warming continues Thursday, and by Friday the high is again expected to reach the low 70s.
