Here's How Much Homeowners Assistance Funds FL Has Distributed

FLORIDA — The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity announced that it has awarded more than $183 million in total relief, with more than $26 million awarded last week alone, to some of Florida’s most vulnerable homeowners through the Homeowner Assistance Fund.

"Florida's HAF program is making a significant impact in the lives of Florida families, preventing foreclosure, so they are able to stay in their homes," said DEO Secretary Dane Eagle. "Florida continues to lead the nation in HAF award payments, connecting the state's most vulnerable homeowners with relief and helping them catch up on their housing expenses."

  • A total of 6,607 homeowner applications have been approved by DEO, representing more than $183 million in awards to date.
  • 15,929 homeowners have been invited to apply but have not started their applications.
  • 11,887 applications have been started by homeowners but have not been submitted.
  • 10,531 applications have been submitted to DEO by homeowners.
  • 54,540 eligible registrations have been submitted.
  • 51,529 registrations are Tier 1, and all have been invited to apply for relief.
  • 3,011 registrations are Tier 2.
