Here's What's Open, Closed In Tampa On Veterans Day
Here are the closures Tampa residents can expect as the city celebrates Veterans Day.
TAMPA, FL — In observance of Veterans Day, City of Tampa offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11.
Tampa Solid Waste has revised the collection schedule as follows:
- Commercial customers will not receive collection service on Thursday.
- Commercial customers normally receiving collection service on Thursday will be serviced the following day.
- Collection will continue to run one day behind through Saturday, Nov. 13.
Regular collection service schedules will resume Monday, Nov. 15.

- Residential customers will not receive collection service on Thursday.
- Residential customers normally receiving collection service on Thursday will be serviced on their next scheduled collection day.
- McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House at 114 S. 34th St., will be closed on Veterans Day and will reopen on Friday.
New Tampa residents are encouraged to contact Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management at 813-272-5680 for their holiday collection schedule.
