Here's What's Open, Closed In Hillsborough County On Veterans Day

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Hillsborough County offices and most facilities will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

Collection of garbage, recyclables and yard waste remain on a normal Thursday schedule in the unincorporated Hillsborough County Solid Waste service area, which includes Tampa Palms, Hunter’s Green and New Tampa.

All disposal facilities will be open, including the Southeast County Landfill, Northwest and South County transfer stations, Resource Recovery Facility, community collection centers and yard waste-processing facilities.

Hillsborough County COVID-19 coronavirus public testing, vaccination and antibody therapy treatment sites will remain open on Veterans Day.

Hillsborough County Testing Sites

• Code Enforcement Complex, 1101 E. 139th Ave., Tampa, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Progress Village Park, 8701 Progress Blvd., Tampa, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hillsborough County Vaccination Site

• Progress Village Park, 8701 Progress Blvd., Tampa, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pfizer vaccine only

Hillsborough County Antibody Therapy Treatment Site

• King Forest Park, 8008 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, 9 a.m. To 5 p.m.

Open Veterans Day

• Hillsborough County Consumer & Veterans Services and the Veterans Council of Hillsborough County will host the 57th Annual Veterans Day Tribute at 11 a.m., Nov. 11, at Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum, 3602 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.
