TAMPA, FL — Tampa Police are searching for a man involved in a shooting Wednesday morning that left a pregnant woman injured.
According to police, at 4:30 a.m. a family of five was sleeping in their car in a parking lot across from the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complete on North Oregon Avenue when the father saw headlights from a vehicle that pulled up in front of their car.

The children — a 9-year-old girl, 4-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl — were uninjured, police said.
The family recently moved back to Tampa after living out of state for several months. Due to a relative in Tampa not having additional room to house them, the family has been living in a rental car.
In addition to Tampa Police officers buying the children McDonald's breakfasts following the shooting, the Tampa police were able to get the family into temporary lodging at Choice Hotels.
Detectives are urging anyone with information related to the shooting or who may have seen a dark-colored two-door sedan, possibly a 2006-2012 model, in the area to call Tampa police at 813-231-6130 or share a tip via Tip411, which is accessible through the Tampa PD app.
Additionally, Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the shooter. Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) or **TIPS on a mobile phone, report anonymously online or send a mobile tip using the free Florida Crime Stoppers mobile application.
