Jameis Winston Unveils 'Dream Room' At Twin Lakes Elementary

Designed and created by Dallas-based NorvaNivel, the "Dream Room" is a step beyond the typical school learning environment.

TAMPA, FL — Children at Twin Lakes Elementary School were treated to a double dose of good fortune Tuesday. Not only were they on hand for the unveiling of a new state-of-the-art technology center at their school but Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was the person who did the unveiling.

Designed and created by Dallas-based NorvaNivel, the "Dream Room" is a step beyond the typical school learning environment.

Instead of the usual stiff plastic chairs with attached writing surfaces, the Dream Room features NorvaNivel's signature mobile, lightweight tables, stools, bookcases, caddies and seats that can be rearranged to transform areas as needed.

The Dream Room also features cutting-edge technology including iPads, LEGO Robotics, projectors and 3D printers that will allow students to create prototypes for new ideas.

Winston is the founder of the Dream Forever Foundation, which aims to impact the lives of financially disadvantaged children and youth through encouragement, opportunities and resources to develop and achieve their dreams.

In partnership with the Buccaneers and NorvaNivel, the foundation is helping to place Dream Rooms in Title 1 schools like Twin Lakes Elementary where 40 percent of the children are from low-income families.

This is the foundation's second Dream Room. The first Dream Room was unveiled in 2018 at Alexander Elementary School.

Twin Lakes Elementary is located at 8507 N. Habana Ave., Tampa.
