Kari Wilbanks Interior Design and Winchell Interiors In The Southern Living Showcase Home

The Southern Living Showcase Home will feature the creative expertise of Kari Wilbanks Interior Design and Winchell Interiors.  Both designers have collaborated with Javic Homes throughout the design process on multiple areas of the home.  The den will be decorated by Kari Wilbanks, owner of Kari Wilbanks Interior Design, and Jen Winchell, owner of Winchell Interiors, will be decorating both a bedroom and the upstairs bonus room.

Located in South Tampa, Kari Wilbanks Interior Design & Accoutrements offers expertise in space planning, furniture, fabric and finish selections, architectural details, and much more.  Kari will design the den of the Showcase Home as a conversational area, rather than a formal living room.   The space will set a welcoming tone in place of a stuffy, formal vibe.   Materials and colors used will reflect a light coastal vibe, which will enhance the West Indies style of the waterfront home. The room will still bring forth some traditional design inspirations – such as plantation shutters.

As a graduate of Tampa's International Design Academy, Jen has a strong appreciation for creating balance through color, texture, and lighting.  She prioritizes budget while creating a space that beautifully achieves its purpose.

Winchell will create a tween boy's bedroom oasis in The Southern Living Showcase Home in an upstairs bedroom complete with original art and a coordinating bathroom design.  Winchell will also take on the task of designing a family friendly bonus room.  This room will feature two living areas in which to unplug from the stress of the day.  A dry bar and custom built-ins will add the finishing touches to this room with waterfront views.

As a new home builder in Tampa Florida, we couldn’t be more excited to work with Kari Wilbanks and Jen Winchell on this project.   Their innovative design expertise and collaboration has created a cohesive design throughout the home.

The 5,000 square foot Tampa Southern Living Showcase Home will be completed in Spring 2014 and will feature the latest in new home construction, technology and design. It will be open to the public for six weeks, with proceeds benefitting our non-profit partners – Operation FINALLY Home and All Children’s Hospital.
