Labor Day Weekend 2015 Weather

Tampa Bay area residents with big barbecue and beach plans over the long Labor Day weekend might want to keep an umbrella handy and an eye on the sky.

According to the National Weather Service, rain chances are present throughout the holiday weekend with those chances especially high on Monday. Here’s a look at what forecasters say Bay area residents can expect over the next few days:

Friday

  • High temperature – Low 90s
  • Low temperature – Upper 70s
  • Rain chances – About 30 percent in the daytime hours and 10 percent overnight in much of the region.

Saturday

  • High temperature – About 90
  • Low temperature – Mid-70s
  • Rain chances – About 60 percent in the afternoon hours and roughly the same during the overnight period.

Sunday

  • High temperature – Low 90s
  • Low temperature – Mid-70s
  • Rain chances – Storms are possible in the morning hours and into the afternoon with a 50 percent chance forecast. Rain chances drop to about 40 percent in the overnight hours.

Labor Day

  • High temperature – Upper 80s to low 90s
  • Low temperature – Mid-70s
  • Rain chances – Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms are likely with a 60 percent chance forecast in much of the region. Rain chances drop to about 30 percent in the overnight hours, but climb back up to 50 percent on Tuesday.
