Last Chance to see 'Greatest Show On Earth' in Tampa Bay Area

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus runs through Sunday at Amalie Arena as part of final tour. [BREAKING]

TAMPA, FL - Fans of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey have a final opportunity to see the Circus XTREME show in the Tampa Bay area through Sunday at the Amalie Arena before the legendary traveling show folds up its tents for good.

Additional seats were released, and tickets are on sale for performances at 7: 30 p.m. today and Thursday, and at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday. (Details here.)

An "All Access Pre-Show" is free with ticket purchases, allowing visitors an hour before showtime to meet performers, get up close to the animals, try on costumes and learn such circus skills as juggling from the famous Ringling Bros. Clown Alley.

The famed Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey circus announced last week that is closing down for good after a 146-year run. This week's Tampa stop is among the troupe's final two tours on the East Coast. Circus XTREME and another production, entitled "Out of This World," will conclude in May in Rhode Island and New York.

The Tampa performances, with a 300-member cast and crew, will include traditional circus acts, along with Bengal tigers, two-humped camels, high-wire wizards, strongmen, BMX trick riders, trampoline daredevils, inconceivable contortionists and a high-flying human cannonball.
