Lowry Park Zoo Celebrates Summer Sunsets
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is opening its doors to nighttime visitors a few evenings this summer.

Tampa, FL â Tampa Bay area residents whoâve ever wondered what Lowry Park Zooâs animals do after dark will get the chance to find out this summer. The zoo has announced the debut of a Sunset Celebration on select weekend nights.
Scheduled to begin on Friday, July 8, the short-term special engagement is meant to allow visitors the opportunity to see what happens at the zoo after the sun sets.
Guests will be able to âstroll the park as the sun sets and enjoy the wildlife, discover special experiences in scenic areas, groove to live music performed by talented bands, and encounter a wide range of roving entertainment,â the zoo explained in an email to media. The event also offers access to the zooâs new beer and wine garden and dining locations. Each evening event will be topped off with a light show finale.
