Motorcyclist Killed In Early-Morning Crash On Selmon Expressway
A 38-year-old motorcyclist is dead following an early-morning crash at the Selmon Expressway and North 50th Street Friday.

TAMPA, FL — A 38-year-old motorcyclist is dead following an early-morning crash at the Selmon Expressway and North 50th Street Friday.
According to Tampa Police, at 3:25 a.m. Dec. 27, a man operating a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling south on North 50th Street approaching the intersection of the Selmon Expressway.
A Freightliner tractor-trailer truck was in the process of making a westbound turn from northbound 50th Street onto the westbound Selmon Expressway entrance ramp.

Police said the motorcyclist was unable to stop his motorcycle in time and struck the trailer of the Freightliner, ejecting him from the motorcycle.
Police officers and Tampa Fire Rescue paramedics attemped life-saving measures but the motorcyclist died at the scene. His name has not been released.
