Motorcyclist Killed When Thrown Off I-4 Overpass
A 35-year-old Riverview motorcyclist was killed Friday when he collided with another motorcycle on Interstate 4 and thrown off an overpass.
TAMPA, FL -- A 35-year-old Riverview motorcyclist was killed Friday when he collided with another motorcycle on Interstate 4 and thrown off an overpass.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 3:33 p.m. Feb. 15, two motorcyclists were traveling east on Interstate 4 west of 50th Street when they crashed.
One motorcycle came to a controlled stop while the second collided with a barrier wall.

The operator of the second motorcycle, Eric Lee Jordan, was thrown over the side of the overpass and fell about 100 feet. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died.
The operator of the first motorcycle fled the scene, abandoning his passenger, Amy Renee Jones, 30, of Dover. He later came forward after the highway patrol sent out a plea for tips and has been identified as Aaron James Davis, 29, of Riverview. Charges against him are pending.

Anyone with information about the motorcyclist who fled is asked to contact the highway patrol at 813-558-1800. He is white and possibly goes by the name A.J. He was operating a black sports motorcycle.
