New Lane Configuration Takes Effect On Selmon Expressway
A new lane configuration for the Selmon Expressway has been implemented between eastbound Gandy Boulevard and Lois Avenue.

TAMPA, FL -- A new lane configuration for the Selmon Expressway has been implemented between eastbound Gandy Boulevard and Lois Avenue.
The merge for motorists coming off the Selmon Expressway and those wanting to get on the expressway has been shortened.
Since this lane configuration will remain in place during the construction of the Selmon Extension's new ramps, motorists are advised to use alternate routes during rush hour. Drivers can turn left (north) on Dale Mabry Highway and access the Selmon Expressway ramp located just behind Target.

One lane on both eastbound and westbound Gandy Boulevard between Westshore Boulevard and the Gandy Bridge will be closed each night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to allow crews to complete roadway widening activities in the area as well as drill shaft pours.
There may be intermittent nighttime lane closures throughout the project limits to conduct utility relocation work, geo-technical investigations and excavation work along Gandy Boulevard during this time frame.
In an effort to keep the construction crews and the traveling public safe, the expressway authority is reminding motorists that the posted construction speed limit is 45 mph. Speed enforcement will be in place in the signed construction zones. The fine for speeding in a construction zone is double the amount of a regular ticket.
