"'Ocean of Solutions' shows how nature defines individuality while showing commonality," Oviedo said. "The title references the symbiotic systems of reefs and oceans. Within nature, we see many similarities, down to the microorganisms that my artwork can resemble, yet not one is exactly the same. Nature’s infinite ability to create individuality, uniqueness, yet interact in harmony is a balance between efficiency and chaos that is translated into this mural."

“We are honored to host Gustavo Oviedo's work at Hyde Park Village. His unique vision and commitment to raising awareness about environmental issues resonate deeply with our values. This mural adds a captivating and thought-provoking element to our vibrant space, inviting visitors to contemplate the delicate balance between humanity and nature," said Sarah Williams, general manager of Hyde Park Village.

Inspired by the coexistence of Miami's bustling urban landscape and the tranquil beauty of the ocean's aquatic life, Oviedo's self-taught approach focuses on the relationship between these contrasting environments. His artistry showcases large paintings of sea-like forms, mixed media collages, and visual representations of marine life, capturing the vibrant hues found in coral reefs.

Oviedo's journey has taken him on a transformative path from his early days as a graffiti artist to his current exploration of the marine world surrounding Miami's Biscayne Bay. Born in Paris to Argentine parents and raised in multiple countries, including France, Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico, Oviedo's diverse upbringing played a pivotal role in shaping his distinct style.
