ACROSS FLORIDA — Many Florida grocery stores will close early on New Year's Eve and some will close altogether on New Year's Day. But, there will still be New Year's shopping options if you need to pick up the basics.

• Albertsons

Albertsons will be open normal hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

• Aldi

Aldi will be closed on New Year's Day.

• BJ's Wholesale Club

BJ's Wholesale Club will be open on New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Costco

Costco will be closed on New Year's Day.

• CVS

CVS stores will be open on New Year's Day but hours may vary by location so call ahead and check.

• Dollar General

Dollar General is open regular hours on New Year's Day.

• The Fresh Market

The Fresh Market will be open regular hours until 8 p.m. New Year's Eve and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Year's Day.

• Lucky

Lucky will be open New Year's from 6 a.m. to midnight.

All Publix stores will open at regular hours and close at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

Most Publix stores will open at regular hours and close at 7 p.m. on New Year's Day. However, stores located Broward, Dade, Indian River, Martin, Monroe, Okkechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties will open at 7 a.m. on New Year's Day. All Publix pharmacies will be closed on New Year's Day.

Safeway will be open on New Year's Eve and Day but some stores may close as early as 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
