Update: No Injuries in Tampa School Bus Shooting
The incident happened just after 4 p.m. in the area of Waters Avenue and 17th Street.

Update Nov. 18: Tampa Police arrested a 15-year-old in the shooting. The teen has been charged with six count of aggravated assault with a firearm and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Patch is not releasing his name. Police also say the shooting appears to have been motivated by an ongoing dispute between one of the riders on the bus and the shooter.

The Tampa Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place along Waters Avenue Monday afternoon involving a school bus transporting four teens.

The AMI Kids bus had children ages 13 to 16 on board when someone fired shots at it, the police department said in an email to media. That agency received a 911 call about the incident just after 4 p.m.
“There are three bullet holes in the rear of the bus,” the department said, but no injuries were reported.

AMI is a nonprofit organization that works with contracts from area school districts, Hillsborough County Schools stated.
Tampa detectives are working leads in the case, but no further information is available at this time.
