North 22nd Street To Close Through Friday For Water Main Repairs

TAMPA, FL — Beginning at Tuesday, the southbound lane on North 22nd Street will be closed between East 98th Avenue and East 99th Avenue while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break.

Barricades and flaggers will be located in the area between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on a daily basis to assist with traffic flow.

The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns ise xpected by 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28.

North Boulevard Closures

A department contractor will close the southbound and center lanes on North Boulevard between West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and West Alfred Street to begin an emergency project to replace an inoperable manhole.

Southbound traffic on North Boulevard will be open for local traffic and emergency vehicles only.

Non-local southbound traffic will be detoured to Tampa Street. Signage and traffic control devices will be in place to assist with rerouting and traffic flow.

Safe access will be maintained for homes and businesses in the area.

Completion of this work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 24.
