One Tampa Fund To Bolster Residents During Coronavirus Crisis
There's help available for Tampa residents facing pay cuts and layoffs as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
TAMPA, FL — There's help available for Tampa residents facing pay cuts and layoffs as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The City of Tampa's One Tampa Relief Now; Rise Together program will provide direct payments to cover essential rent, mortgage and utility expenses for those who have been most impacted by the coronavirus crisis.
For qualifying individuals and families that live in the city and are facing pay cuts, this program will cover up to $1,000 for rent or mortgage and up to $250 for essential utilities.

"These funds will serve as a lifeline as we bridge the gap while waiting for state and federal relief funds to kick in," said Tampa Mayor Jane Castor.

For qualifying small businesses in the most vulnerable business sectors, the program will cover up to $4,000 for rent or mortgage, and up to $1,000 for utilities.
"In these difficult times, we have seen so much generosity from our community, and One Tampa is only possible thanks to those who have stepped up to lend a helping hand," said Castor.
The Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays have each donated $100,000 to One Tampa
"But we need more help. I invite you to join us in uplifting our community during this difficult time by supporting One Tampa with a tax-deductible donation to help those most in need as we work together to recover from COVID-19," Castor said.
