Parts of Bayshore, Davis Islands Bridge Off-Ramp Closing for Repairs

Motorists who use Bayshore Boulevard on a regular basis might want to plan a different route over the weekend.

The city of Tampa has announced it will begin repairs on Bayshore Boulevard Friday at 9 p.m. The repairs will force the closing of northbound Bayshore Boulevard from South Magnolia Avenue to West Platt Street. The off-ramp to northbound Bayshore Boulevard from the Davis Islands Bridge will also be closed to traffic.

The project is expected to take about 36 hours to complete.

As work continues, the city recommends drivers use different routes to get around. Detours will be set up, as well.
