Pasco Man Faces More Charges In Death At Gentlemen's Club

Tampa Police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with an altercation outside a gentlemen's club on Jan. 3 that left one man dead.

TAMPA, FL -- Tampa Police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with an altercation outside a gentlemen's club on Jan. 3 that left one man dead.

Police arrested Ismael Ocasio of Wesley Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

According to police, Ocasio got into a fight over missing property with Edward Taylor, 32, in the parking lot of the Envy Gentleman's Club at 3447 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, at 3:13 a.m. on Jan. 3.

At one point, Ocasio pointed a handgun at Taylor, said police. Ocasio then set aside the gun and punched Taylor, causing him to fall to the ground. Additionally, Ocasio kicked Taylor.

Officers on the scene provided CPR to Taylor. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital by Tampa Fire Rescue and later died as a result of his injuries (see related story).

The morning of the incident, Ocasio was arrested and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest without violence. He posted bond and was released from jail.

As a result of further investigation, a warrant for his arrest was issued and he was taken into custody on Wednesday on additional charges of manslaughter and aggravated assault with a firearm.
