TAMPA, FL --- For one magical night, children were able to put aside the treatments, medications and pain that comes with battling pediatric cancer, and indulge their dreams of becoming firefighters, football players and airline pilots.

More than 1,000 people gathered to watch the young cancer patients stroll the runaway dressed in the uniforms of their dream occupations alongside their real-life heroes during the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s 16th Annual Fashion Funds the Cure event.

The event raised more than $500,000 to fund life-saving clinical trials specifically designed for children.
