Pet Rescue Founder To Dance In Tampa Bay’s Dancing With The Stars

TAMPA, FL -- Jaime McKnight, an affiliated sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate and founder of Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue, is competing as a celebrity dancer in Tampa Bay’s 2018 Dancing with the Stars.

The charity event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 6 and its beneficiaries include Heroes of the St. Pete Police and Fire Inc., Honor Flight of West Central Florida Inc. and Pepin Academies.

Coldwell Banker Global Luxury is a sponsor of this year’s event, hosted by Julie Weinstraub’s Hands Across the Bay.

“I am very excited to be a celebrity dancer in this year’s event," said McKnight. "This is a great opportunity to continue spreading awareness for my pet rescue organization while supporting other incredible local nonprofits as well, all while having a wonderful time dancing.”

McKnight created Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue in 2013, a St. Petersburg nonprofit organization that helps rehabilitate and find new homes for small senior, critically ill and handicapped small dogs rescued from kill shelters across Florida. Her pet rescue organization has helped saved more than 100 small dogs each year.

McKnight has been recognized for her pet rescue efforts by several local media outlets, including a feature on FOX 13 News as a Hometown Hero. She was most recently awarded the Good Neighbor Award by the Pinellas Realtor Organization.
