TAMPA, FL — Lovers of animal photography have two opportunities to help raise funds for the nonprofit Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

Photographers of all ages and skill levels are invited to visit the shelter at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, 3607 N Armenia Ave., Tampa, and take photos of the animals up for adoption.

Selected photographs will then be displayed at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts' community gallery, 400 North Ashley Drive, Cube 200, Tampa, during the month of May.

In addition, AGoldPhoto Pet Photo Studio, 3105 W Bay to Bay Blvd., in South Tampa, is creating its second volume of "Tails of Gratitude - A Collection of Thank-You Notes from People to Their Pets."

The studio hopes to raise $10,000 with the coffee table book to benefit the nonprofit animal shelter.

The studio is now looking for pets and their people to participate.

To apply to be a part of the coffee table book, fill out an application by June 30. Successful applicants will be guaranteed a double-page spread in the book for a $150 registration fee.

Photo shoots will take place at AGoldPhoto Pet Photo Studio. Participants will select their favorite photo for the book, write a thank-you note to their pet or pets, and have the opportunity to purchase printed photographic artwork for their home or office.

The book is set to publish in late November with a launch party.

“We’re so grateful to be the recipient of funds from this coffee table book project with AGoldPhoto Pet Photography," said Sherry Silk, CEO of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

“We’re beyond excited to continue this project with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Our pets are part of the family, and we’re thankful for them every day," said Adam Goldberg, co-owner of the studio with his wife, Mary, and a professional photographer at AGoldPhoto Pet Photo Studio. "The funds raised from this project will help shelter animals in need and bring pets and their people closer together through photography.”

The couple started taking photos of adoptable animals at Humane Society of Tampa Bay in 2016 and have since raised more than $270,000 for animal shelters and rescue groups around the country.
