Floyd’s 99 Barbershop of South Tampa today announced plans for their grand opening event to be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The day-long celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, an in-shop scavenger hunt, prizes, and more. The shop, located at 1155 S. Dale Mabry Highway, Unit 6, in South Tampa, is owned and operated by franchisee Stephanie Noyes, a lifelong member of the Tampa Bay community. “Floyd’s is all about giving our customers an amplified experience, and we can’t wait to create that excitement at our grand opening event,” said Stephanie, noting that this is her third Floyd’s location, with shops already open in Clearwater and St. Pete. “This is an opportunity for the community to celebrate with us, meet the stylists, and even get a haircut,” she said. “Floyd’s is for everyone – men, women, and kids – and we’ll be accepting walk-in appointments all day.” The South Tampa location is offering 50% off haircuts for the first 30 days, beginning on Friday. The Tampa Police Department has released a photo of a person of interest who is wanted for questioning in regard to a Sunday morning shooting death outside the Playpen Gentlemen's Club.According to the agency, Jermaine Faison, 32, was shot while sitting in his 2009 blue Maserati while parked behind the 1715 N. 50th St. club around 5:16 a.m. The shot fired killed Faison, the agency said.Homicide detectives have learned that a "person of interest" was seen entering the club before the shooting. That same person was also inside the victim's car when he was shot, the agency wrote in an email to media.Anyone who can identify the person of interest or who has information in the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS. A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
