Police Seeking Information in Basketball Court Shooting Death
A 16-year-old boy was killed on Saturday.

As the Tampa Police Department works to identify who is responsible for the shooting death of 16-year-old Jamylin Turner on Saturday, officers are hoping those with information in the case will step forward.
Police received a call just after 9 p.m. Saturday in regard to shots fired at Taylor Park, 3721 N. Clearfield St. When they arrived, they found Turner lying in the street along West Virginia Avenue with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Turner was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he later died.
“Based on preliminary information at the scene, it was determined that the victim was with a group of friends near the basketball courts when an unidentified suspect(s) drove by and fired multiple rounds at the group,” an email to media from the department stated.
