Portions Of Gandy Boulevard To Close June 4-5

Construction crews will temporarily shut down portions of Gandy Boulevard in both directions between Dale Mabry Highway and Church Street.

TAMPA, FL -- On Tuesday, June 4, and Wednesday, June 5, Selmon Expressway Extension construction crews will temporarily shut down portions of Gandy Boulevard in both directions between Dale Mabry Highway and Church Street for overhead bridge work.

The temporary shutdown will occur both days between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers will need to detour at Dale Mabry Highway, Interbay or Westshore Boulevard.

The entrance to the Selmon from eastbound Gandy will also be closed during these times. Drivers can access the Selmon by using the ramp on northbound Dale Mabry behind the Target.

In an effort to keep the construction crews and the traveling public safe, drivers should heed the posted construction speed limit of 45 mph. Speed enforcement will be in place in the signed construction zones. The fine for speeding in a construction zone is double the amount of a regular ticket.
