Power Tools Meant For Hurricane Relief Work Stolen From Staging Area
Tampa police said a Tampa man stole power tools intended to be used for hurricane repair work.

TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man is facing burglary charges after being accused of stealing power tools designated for Hurricane Ian repair work.
According to Tampa police, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to a staging area for hurricane relief vehicles and contracted linemen at 701 E Bird St., Tampa.
Security personnel detained Bryan Antonio Cirino Ortiz, 35, until police arrived. Tampa police said he broke into a bucket truck and a Ford F-250 Super Duty, and stole power tools.

The power tools were recovered.
Ortiz is charged with two counts of burglary of unoccupied vehicles.
