Presidential Preference Primary 2016: Where To Vote In Hillsborough County
Voters throughout Florida head to the polls Tuesday, March 15 to choose their party favorite.
TAMPA, FL — Florida Republican and Democratic voters ready to have their say on which candidates will make the ballot in the 2016 presidential race get their chance Tuesday.
The polls in the state’s Presidential Preference Primary open at 7 a.m. March 15 and close at 7 p.m. Since Florida is a closed primary state, only registered Republicans may vote for Republican nominees and only Democrats may vote on that party’s ticket. Hillsborough County has a total of 789,921 registered voters, according to the Supervisor of Elections Office. Of that number, 309,261 are Democrats and 252,589 are Republicans.
