TAMPA, FL — Prepare to strike a pose at the Tampa Museum of Art’s Pride & Passion: Vogue, a Glamour Ball inspired by the allure of the golden age of Hollywood and the effervescence of the LGBTQ+ ballroom culture.

Happening on Saturday, April 9, the ball will feature eye-catching dance floor performances and treats from local restaurants.

Now in its 16th year as a favorite downtown Tampa event, Pride & Passion celebrates Tampa Bay’s diversity and the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to arts and culture. The money raised for this signature fundraiser supports programs at the Tampa Museum of Art, 120 W. Gasparilla Plaza, that reduce barriers to admission, create safe places for people to experience the arts and celebrate local talent.

“We have all had a rough couple of years, so it’s time to burn the sweatpants, get dressed to the nines, and celebrate the arts, self-expression, life and each other," said Meeks, who served as Pride & Passion chair in 2018.

“The Tampa Museum of Art is a safe place that brings together arts, fashion, culture and extended family—all of which are staples of the LGBTQ+ community," said Florin, who also served as a past Pride & Passion committee member.
