Pumping Station Work To Cause Road Closures In University Area

TAMPA, FL — There will be traffic delays for drivers traveling in the University Area in February as crews work on the City of Tampa’s University Pumping Station.

East 131st Avenue will be closed from Feb. 3 through March 2 as crews excavate the roadway to work on underground pipes.

Motorists and pedestrians will need to avoid the area by using marked detours along North Nebraska Avenue, East Fletcher Avenue and North 15th Street.

The work will impact traffic. Drivers are urged to use caution in this area and take alternate routes.
