Tampa Man Found With Explosive Devices
Law enforcement officials say the man expressed 'anti-government' sentiment.

TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man faces criminal charges after ATF, the Tampa Police Department and the FBI teamed up to search his home Monday.
The investigation into Michael Ramos’ activities was kicked off after Tampa Police received information he might be in possession of six to eight pipe bombs, an email to media from ATF stated. That information kicked off an investigation by ATF, TPD and the FBI.
During the investigation, authorities learned “Ramos had expressed anti-government sentiment and acknowledged he was in possession of these destructive devices,” the email said. With that information in hand, a federal search warrant was obtained. Ramos’ home at 4504 N. Lincoln Ave. in Tampa was searched Monday, authorities said.
ATF, the FBI and Tampa Police ultimately seized eight explosive devices described as pipe bombs, an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle, a .45 caliber pistol, ammunition and bomb making materials from Ramos’ home, the email said.
Authorities have not released the list of charges Ramos now faces.
