Shooting At Tampa Nightclub Leads To High-Speed Crash On I-4
Tampa police have taken several people into custody following a shooting in the parking lot of a Tampa nightclub early Tuesday morning.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police have taken several people into custody following a shooting in the parking lot of a Tampa nightclub early Tuesday morning.
Tampa police were called to a disturbance at the Truth Lounge, 4202 W. Cayuga St., at 2:27 a.m. as the lounge was preparing to close.
According to police, the occupants of multiple cars fired shots from the cars before fleeing the lounge parking lot at a high rate of speed. Officers spotted the cars — a white Mercedes, white Dodge Charger and white Lexus — speeding south on Interstate 275 but did not pursue the cars.

At 2:32 a.m., the Mercedes and Charger crashed at the Interstate 4 interchange. Both drivers were taken into custody. Guns were recovered from both cars.
The Lexus continued to flee eastbound on I-4, monitored by a police helicopter. Officers were eventually able to stop the car in Plant City, apprehending the driver and a passenger. Guns were recovered from the Lexus as well.

There have been no reports of injuries as a result of the shooting. Those involved in the crash sustained minor injures.
