Final Restaurant List, Celebrity Chefs Announced For 15th Annual Taste Of South Tampa

The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 15th Annual Taste of South Tampa on Sunday, May 2.

TAMPA, FL — The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 15th annual Taste of South Tampa on Sunday, May 2, presented by Older, Lundy, Alvarez & Koch.

For the fourth year, the Tampa Garden Club will be transformed into an outdoor festival offering live entertainment, delicious food samples from local restaurants, a beer garden and the opportunity to win prizes.

Guests will also enjoy a Seltzer Station from White Claw and a Beer Garden with selections from Pepin Distributing including Stella Artois and Floridian Hefeweizen. VIPs will also get a “taste” of cocktails from Cutwater Spirits.

This year’s event will also feature celebrity judges who will select “The Best of South Tampa” including Master Chef’s Jeff Philbin, Tampa General Hospital Chief CRNA Nicole Hubbard, Roxanne Wilder, host of The Current on Q105, and Ben Older, a founding partner at Older Lundy Alvarez & Koch Attorneys at Law.

"We are thrilled to have so many restaurants return again this year including last year's people's choice winner, Flames Indian Cuisine, as well as new additions like Cru Cellars, Sarge's BBQ, Brass Tap and The Hatchery," said chamber President Kelly Flannery. "Guests will also enjoy a beer garden featuring White Claw and beer selections from Pepin Distributing including Stella Artois and Floridian Hefeweizen. VIPs will get a taste from Steelbach, Forbici Modern Italian, Hotel Haya and cocktails from Cutwater Spirits. With more than 25 food and beverage options at the event, there is truly something for everyone and the inclusive price gives attendees the opportunity to try a little bit of everything."

This year's event will be limited attendance to allow for social distancing in addition to other health and safety protocols such as increased handwashing and hand-sanitizing stations.

The ticket price is all-inclusive with unlimited food and beverage samples, live entertainment, giveaways from business exhibitors and voting for the "Best of South Tampa" awards.

Pre-sale ticket prices are available online at www.TasteofSouthTampa.com. ($50 general admission, $40 for military and free for kids under 10). Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door on the day of the event ($60 general ddmission).

VIP tickets are also available during pre-sale only. A portion of the ticket sales from the event will benefit the South Tampa Chamber's "Chamber Champions Program" benefiting businesses that were impacted by the pandemic.
