Southbound Franklin Closed Between Whiting and Brorein

The Tampa Water Department is asking downtown motorists to exercise patience as they make their way along southbound Franklin Street.

The department has closed the lanes between Brorein and Whiting streets to “access the distribution system in response to a possible leak,” an email to media said.

Drivers are asked to use Tampa or Morgan streets as detours. Barricades and signs are set up in the area, as well.

The closing is expected to last for a few days.
