Southbound I-275 Lanes Closing for 2 Nights

The area involved runs from the Hillsborough River to west of West Shore Boulevard.

Motorists who use southbound Interstate 275 to get around may want to choose different routes if their drives take them between the Hillsborough River and West Shore Boulevard in the overnight hours.

The Florida Department of Transportation has announced the southbound lanes in that area will close between 11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday nights for ongoing construction.

“No vehicles will be allowed to enter southbound I-275 at any ramp from downtown to Lois Avenue during the detour hours,” the agency noted in an email to media. “Westbound I-4 traffic merging onto southbound I-275 will also be directed to the same detour.”
