Sparkman Wharf To Welcome New Clothing, Flower Boutique

TAMPA, FL — Strategic Property Partners LLC announced Thursday that Joyful Notion, a Tampa-based lifestyle boutique and flower bar, signed a retail lease at Sparkman Wharf. The first clothing boutique at Sparkman Wharf, Joyful Notion will open this summer inside Water Street Tampa, the city’s transformational new downtown neighborhood.

“We are committed to attracting a diverse group of retailers that will enhance the well-rounded lifestyle experience at Water Street Tampa,” said James Nozar, CEO of SPP. “Sparkman Wharf has already become a vibrant waterfront destination in the neighborhood thanks to our talented restaurant partners, and with the addition of Joyful Notion, we continue our goal of building a comprehensive retail and hospitality offering for Tampa residents, workers and those in the surrounding communities.”

Spanning 1,400 square feet at 615 Channelside Drive, Joyful Notion offers apparel from premier fashion and lifestyle brands including Free People and Alo Yoga, as well as gifts and fresh flowers.

The experiential boutique will also offer weekly craft workshops and flower-arranging classes.

Crystal Johnsen, owner of Joyful Notion, says the concept of the store is focused on selling high-quality products and providing opportunities for people to gather and unleash their creative side:

Sparkman Wharf is home to a dining garden, biergarten and spacious recreation lawn, as well as

ground-floor retail and loft-style office space. Joyful Notion will join existing office, retail and restaurant concepts, including Industrious, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Splitsville, Edison’s Swigamajig, Gallito, Flock and Stock, Boat Run Oyster Company, BT in a Box, Corners Pizza and Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters.

Sparkman Wharf is located in SPP’s first project, Water Street Tampa, which is being developed on more than 50 acres along downtown Tampa's waterfront.

The phased Water Street Tampa development project kicked off in 2018. The urban mixed-use
waterfront district will consist of approximately nine million square feet of new commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, entertainment, educational, and retail uses.
