Sunshine, Blue Skies Expected Following Severe Storms
Now that the storms that ripped through the Tampa Bay area have moved along, forecasters anticipate a few nice days ahead.

TAMPA, FL — With the severe weather that ripped through the Tampa Bay area Thursday morning gone, forecasters say the region is in for a string of nice days ahead.
The National Weather Service anticipates sunshine, blue skies and highs in the 70s to stick around into Monday. Rain, in fact, doesn’t creep back into the forecast until the middle of next week. As of Thursday afternoon, the forecast for the following few days was predicted as follows:
Friday
- High temperature – Upper 70s
- Low temperature – Upper 50s
- Rain chances – Not in the cards
Saturday
- High temperatures – Mid-70s
- Low temperature – Low 50s
- Rain chances – Not expected
Sunday
- High temperature – Upper 70s
- Low temperature – Low 60s
- Rain chances – Not anticipated
Thursday’s storms resulted in tornado confirmations in Pinellas and Pasco counties. An estimated 57 homes were damaged along the U.S. 19 corridor in Pasco County and properties in the Clearwater area also suffered damage.
