PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Suspects in a stolen delivery driver’s car led law enforcement on a chase from Tampa into Pinellas County Sunday, the Tampa Police Department wrote in a Facebook post. (Watch a video of the chase below.)

The agency’s Aviation Unit was able to keep track of the three men as they drove over the Howard Frankland Bridge with help from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

The three suspects ran from the car — one of them discarding a gun that was later found by TPD’s Dive Team as they fled — and were eventually taken into custody.

Each suspect was charged with one felony county of carjacking, police said.

“From the city of Tampa to across the bay, we proved that we are safer together,” the agency wrote.
