Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders 1st Game Set
Round 2 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs isn't set in stone just yet, but a date for game one has been announced.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay Lightning fans eager to see the Bolts return to the ice in round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs don’t have much longer to wait.
The Tampa Bay Lightning has announced that game one in the seven-game series will take place at Amalie Arena on Wednesday, April 27. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. For those who can’t make it out to watch the action live, NBCSN will air game one, as well.
A full schedule for round two has not yet been solidified. An announcement on future dates is expected soon. Tampa should play host to game two in the series against New York before action heads up north for games three and four. If more games are needed for either team to clinch the series, Tampa will host games five and seven.

The Lightning sewed up round one play against the Detroit Red Wings with its April 21 1-0 shutout. Goalie Ben Bishop helped seal the deal by stopping 34 shots on goal during game five of the series while Alex Killorn earned the Bolt’s only goal in the game.
While round two’s schedule isn’t out just yet, tickets for the games are on sale now. Fans may purchase tickets on the Lightning website at TampaBayLightning.com/tickets or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Tickets bought via Ticketmaster will automatically be refunded for games that do not occur, the team noted. There is a strict limit of four tickets per household, per game, as well. Once the playoff schedule has been decided upon, fans with tickets will be notified by email so they can print their tickets 48 hours before each game.

The Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup at the end of the 2003-04 season. The team was founded in 1992.
Last year, the Bolts made it all the way to the finals. The Chicago Blackhawks ultimately dashed the Lightning’s plan to bring the cup to Tampa for a second time in franchise history.
