Tampa Bay Workweek Weather: Warmer Temps On The Way

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents who were hoping those mild conditions that settled in over the weekend would last a bit longer may be disappointed in the coming days.

According to the National Weather Service, the Tampa Bay region is in for a balmy week ahead. While that means lots of sunshine and low rain chances, it also means daily highs will climb into the upper 80s as the workweek continues.

Forecasters expect Monday to kick things off with conditions that are mostly sunny. The day’s high is expected to reach the mid- to upper-80s with an overnight low around 67 degrees. Mostly clear conditions are anticipated in the overnight hours with rain not in the forecast.

Tuesday is expected to be a near repeat with a high in the mid- to upper 80s and sunny skies. Overnight, the low should fall into the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday should usher in warmer conditions with a high in the upper 80s to low 90s anticipated by forecasters. Mostly sunny skies should dominate the day with an overnight low around 70 degrees anticipated. Thursday is expected to be a near repeat.

Friday might mix things up a bit with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the cards. The day’s high should reach the upper 80s to low 90s though. Any Friday afternoon storms that materialize are not expected to stick around into the overnight hours. They also aren’t anticipated to cool things off all that much. The overnight low is forecast to reach about 70 degrees in much of the region.

As for the weekend, rain wasn’t in the cards in Monday’s extended forecast. Highs in the upper 80s and lows around 70 degrees are expected over the weekend.
