Tampa Christmas 2023: What’s Open, Closed For The Holiday

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — With Tampa-area residents celebrating Christmas Monday, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services throughout the county over the long holiday weekend.

Tampa City Government: All offices closed Monday.

Tampa Solid Waste: Check by address to see how trash collection is affected by the holiday.

Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Libraries: Closed Sunday through Tuesday. Only the Temple Terrace Library will be open Tuesday.

Hillsborough County Government Offices: Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Hillsborough County Recreation Centers: Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

County Splash Pad Sites: Closed Sunday and Monday.

County Skate Parks: Closed Sunday and Monday.

County Conservation Parks: Close at 2 p.m. Sunday and closed Monday.

Carrollwood Village Park: Open Sunday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Monday.

Conservation Parks: Closed Monday.

Apollo Beach Nature Preserve: Closed Monday.

County Dog Parks: Open Sunday and Monday from sunrise to sunset.

Hillsborough County Customer Service Center: Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center: Closed Monday and Tuesday, though a limited number of animal control officers will be on call for emergencies only. Submit a request via the animal request button here.

Veterans Memorial Park and Dead River Wilderness Park: Closed Sunday and Monday.

Hillsborough County Trash Collection: There will be no trash collection on Monday. It will follow the regular schedule Monday and Wednesday. Monday’s trash will be collected Tuesday. The Southeast County Landfill, Northwest and South County Transfer Facilities, Resource Recovery Facility, Community Collection Centers, and all yard waste sites will be closed Monday. All facilities close Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority: Sunday’s schedule will remain the same. Buses on Monday will operate on a Sunday schedule, while streetcars will maintain a regular schedule.

Sunshine Line: The transportation service won’t operate on Tuesday.

13th Judicial Circuit Court: Closed Monday and Tuesday.
