Tampa Man Fatally Shot During Argument Between Roommates
When Tampa police arrived at the home, they said they found a man dead in a chair underneath a carport.
TAMPA, FL — A 54-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after being accused of killing his roommate during a fight.
According to Tampa police, at 4:42 a.m. Friday, police received a call from a man living in the 8100 block of North 17th Street near Sitka Street who said he'd gotten into a fight with his roommate and shot him.
Police arrived and found a man dead from a gunshot wound in a chair underneath a carport. The other roommate, Kennith Phillips, was inside the home waiting for police and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
