Tampa Man Hit, Killed By Car While Walking On Dale Mabry Highway

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, MD — A Tampa man died Tuesday night after he was hit by a car while walking on Dale Mabry Highway in Hillsborough County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car driven by a 17-year-old Lutz boy was traveling south on the highway south of Carrollwood Place Circle when he struck the pedestrian who walked into the vehicle's path while attempting to cross the road.

Police said the 34-year-old pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the car was not injured, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
