Tampa Moped Operator Killed While Helping Driver Of Disabled Van
A good Samaritan was killed after coming to the aid of a woman whose van broken down on I-275.

TAMPA, FL — A moped operator has died after trying to come to the aid of the driver of a disabled van on Interstate 275 Saturday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 12:20 a.m., a 29-year-old Clearwater woman was driving a van south on Interstate 275 north of Interstate 4 when the van broke down and came to a halt in the middle lane of the highway.
A 30-year-old Clearwater man in a sports utility vehicle and a 79-year-old Tampa man riding a scooter stopped to help her. Unable to stop in time to avoid the two good Samaritans, a 44-year-old Tampa woman collided with the SUV and moped, propelling them into the van.

The moped operator died at the scene. No one else was hurt.
