Tampa Police On Lookout For Serial Business Robber

TAMPA, FL -- Tampa Police believe one man is responsible for a series of armed robberies that occurred Monday and Tuesday.

In each case, the robber wore a bandanna over his face, a dark hoodie, dark athletic shorts and brandished a black gun.

The first occurred at 9:35 p.m. at the PDQ restaurant at 2207 S. Dale Mabry Highway. The robber walked up to the drive-through window, pointed a gun at the driver paying for an order and told him to leave. He then pointed the gun at the cashier at the drive-through window and demanded money. He reached through the window and tried to open the cash register but was unsuccessful. He fled on foot.

Minutes later, at 9:49 p.m., the robber entered the Circle K store at 3001 S. Manhattan Ave, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk placed the cash into a plastic bag provided by the suspect who, once again, fled on foot.

Then, at 11:50 p.m., a robber walked into the 7-Eleven at 2301 Linebaugh Ave. and pointed a gun at the clerk. Just as before, he demanded money from the cash register. The clerk complied, putting the money in the robber's plastic bag.

The final robbery occurred at 1:59 a.m. at the Circle K at 4115 S. Westshore Blvd. in the same manner at the previous two robberies.

Detectives are collecting physical evidence and video in an effort to identify the robber. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
