Temporary Lane Closure On W Bay Street To Begin Wednesday

A portion of W Bay Street between Bayshore Boulevard and S Magnolia Avenue will close beginning on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

A portion of W Bay Street between Bayshore Boulevard and S Magnolia Avenue will close beginning on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing a new utility pole and associated equipment for a small wireless facility on the north side of W Bay Street.

The westbound lane on W Bay Street between Bayshore Boulevard and S Magnolia Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on January 8, 2020.

Westbound and eastbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the south side of W Bay Street between Bayshore Boulevard and S Magnolia Avenue during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk on the north side of W Bay Street between Bayshore Boulevard and S Magnolia Avenue will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other sidewalks in the area via signage.

All lanes on W Bay Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
