Time Is Running Out; Here Are Shipping, Ordering Deadlines

ACROSS FLORIDA — With six days to go, family members are scurrying to get their gifts mailed for arrival by Christmas.

The U.S. Postal Service has projected that it will ship 800 million packages between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day in 2019. Seasonal workers are hired for the increased workload, and the Postal Service expanded Sunday delivery.

Keep in mind, some deadlines have already come and gone, including first-class, priority international mail and military mail and retail ground.

Here are all the upcoming deadlines you need to keep in mind:

You'll get free standard shipping over the holidays and will get it in time if you order by Dec. 20 at 9:30 a.m. You can also order by 5 p.m. Dec. 24 when you choose the store pickup option.

You can place an order by 5 p.m. Dec. 20 and choose express shipping for $15 more than the standard rate.

Order by 4 p.m. Dec. 20. You'll get free two-day shipping via FedEx with any order over $50. Overnight Air Express is available for $23 when you order before 3 p.m. Dec. 21.
